Pricing

How much does a digital marketing agency cost in Saudi Arabia?

The short answer: there is no single price, and an agency that gives you a number before hearing about your business is selling a package rather than a solution. The more useful answer is understanding what drives the price, so you can compare two very different quotes and tell which is genuinely more expensive.

What actually determines the price

Most of the gap between one quote and another comes down to six factors rather than some abstract notion of quality:

  • Scope. Managing one account is a different job from strategy, identity, video production and paid campaigns together.
  • Production volume. How many posts, designs and videos per month is the largest line in most contracts.
  • Video. Whether video is included changes the cost more than any other element — particularly filmed video rather than motion graphics.
  • Number of platforms. Each additional platform means more formats, more versions and more monitoring.
  • Languages. Working in Arabic and English is double the work if the content is written rather than translated.
  • Paid advertising. And here is a distinction that is often blurred: the ad budget is one thing, the fee to manage it is another.

That last point deserves spelling out, because it confuses more comparisons than anything else. When you hear a number for a campaign, always ask whether it includes what gets paid to the ad platform itself. An agency quoting one figure covering both budget and fee can look cheaper than one that separates them while actually being far more expensive.

The three pricing models

  1. 1

    Monthly retainer

A fixed monthly amount for an agreed scope. Best for continuous work: account management, content production, campaign management. The advantage is a team that learns your business and improves over time; the risk is that scope creeps unless it is defined precisely.

  2. 2

    Fixed project

A price for one deliverable: a visual identity, a launch film, a marketing strategy. Best for work with a clear beginning and end. Check that the quote states how many revision rounds are included — that is what most often becomes an extra cost.

  3. 3

    Hybrid

A foundation project first (strategy or identity), then a monthly retainer to execute. In practice this is the most common shape, because the first months need groundwork that does not repeat afterwards.

The bands we work in

We cannot speak for the whole market, and we will not invent averages we have no data for. What we can be straightforward about is ourselves: the ranges shown in our own project enquiry form are the ones we actually work within.

  • Saudi Arabia: SAR 5k–15k · SAR 15k–50k · SAR 50k+
  • Egypt: EGP 30k–75k · EGP 75k–200k · EGP 200k+

These are project bands, not prices for individual services. Which band a project falls into is decided by monthly workload, whether video production is involved, how many platforms and how many languages — exactly the six factors above.

And to be clear: if your budget is below this, it does not mean marketing is not for you. It means a narrower, focused scope — one platform, one objective — will serve you better than a broad scope executed thinly.

Why quotes vary so much

When three quotes arrive with large gaps between them, the reason is rarely greed or generosity. It is that all three describe different work under the same words.

  • "Social media management" can mean twelve template posts a month, or strategy, original content, video and community management.
  • "Arabic content" can mean machine translation of English copy, or original Arabic writing with the tone set for the market.
  • "Video" can mean trimming stock footage, or script, direction, shooting and post-production.
  • "Reporting" can mean a screenshot of the platform dashboard, or a reading of what happened and what changes because of it.

Before comparing prices, make the quotes describe the same thing. Ask each agency to state quantities, formats and revision rounds, and you will usually find half the price gap disappears.

Questions to ask before signing

  • What exactly are the monthly quantities — how many designs, how many videos, how many platforms?
  • Is ad spend included in this figure or separate from it?
  • Who writes the Arabic content, and is it written or translated?
  • How many revision rounds are included, and what does an extra round cost?
  • Who owns the ad accounts and the source files when the contract ends?
  • What measure will we judge success by after three months?
  • Who will actually work on the account — the same people in this meeting?

When cheaper is more expensive

A low quote is not a problem in itself. The problem is when it is low because it removes the part that produces the result.

The most common version we see: ad budget spent behind weak creative. The platform delivers the ad, the ad convinces nobody, and the entire spend converts into data about a design failure. Saving a few thousand on production while spending multiples of it on distribution is the most expensive decision available.

The reverse is also true: expensive production with no strategy and no distribution is a beautiful portfolio that sells nothing. Value comes from the balance, not from maximising one line.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can we start with a small budget?

Yes, provided you narrow the scope rather than thin it. One platform, one objective, fewer but better pieces of content produces results you can learn from. Spreading a small amount across four platforms produces activity without signal.

Do prices differ between Saudi Arabia and Egypt?

Yes, for real reasons: production costs, advertising rates and how contested the audience is all differ between the two. That is why our budget bands are defined separately in each market's currency rather than converted from one number.

What pushes a project into a higher band?

Usually one of three things: filmed video production, working across two markets and two languages, or a high monthly content volume. Two of those together raise the band more than doubling any single line would.

Do you quote before a meeting?

No, and we think that is in your interest. Any number given before knowing quantities, markets, languages and whether video is needed is a guess you would have to correct later. Send us your project details and we reply within 24 hours.
